Gravity — common questions

Shade materials, cleaning and light sources for the Gravity lamps.

Which bulb should I use in a Gravity lamp?

The Gravity lamps take an E27 bulb. GUBI supplies a 7W opal matte LED made for them, which is the one to use if the lamp flickers with another bulb.

Is there a recommended light source for the Gravity Floor Lamp?

The Diolux Norma60 is the recommended light source for the Gravity Floor Lamp.

How do I clean the fabric shade on a Gravity lamp?

  1. Let the lamp cool, then remove the shade.
  2. Vacuum it with the soft-brush attachment to lift the dust.
  3. Fill a sink or tub with cool water and 1 teaspoon of mild dish soap or laundry detergent.
  4. Immerse the shade and swirl it to release the dirt. Do not let it soak — the adhesive can be damaged.
  5. Rinse thoroughly, blot with an undyed towel, and air dry.
  6. Reinstall only once it is completely dry.

What is the Gravity canvas shade made of?

19% viscose and 81% linen, in a canvas weave.
